The Commons

Think of The Commons as the downtown of VCU. At the heart of campus, The Commons is a central hub to hang out, eat in the food court, play pool or video games, or catch a movie at the theater. Ask any VCU alum ...they will tell you stories about The Commons.
The Ram Horns Plaza at The Commons is Instagram-famous as it is THE iconic, selfie spot at VCU. If you attended new student orientation in recent years, you might remember the tradition of touching the Ram Horns sculpture and making a wish.
Offering a ballroom, a theater, lounge areas, meeting and event spaces, a food court, a convenience store, entertainment, and a variety of student and student org support services, The Commons is both a place and entity. The Commons enriches the 24/7 student experience at VCU by bringing students, faculty, and staff together as a community.
