Student Organizations Support

The Transformative Student Experiences department of the Division of Student Affairs is dedicated to supporting the 400 + student organizations at VCU.

The student organization resources center, The Underground, offers a wide variety of resources and services for student org leaders and members. 

From leadership and training programs to printing and poster-making supplies, to financial services and volunteer opportunities, The Underground provides VCU students and registered student organizations with a wealth of services to ensure their success on campus and in the community.

The Underground assists students in developing an appreciation for diversity, responsibility, critical thinking, and practical skills to become lifelong learners, productive citizens, and community leaders.

The Student Involvement Ambassadors in The Underground provide event advising to student organizations and co-curricular opportunities for student involvement. 

For registered student organizations, there are a variety of resources and support services to help these organizations become successful and reach their goals, including:

  • Access to RamsConnect platform
  • Opportunity to apply for VCU SGA funding for conference travel, events, and programs
  • Resources for effective meetings
  • Leadership development program
