Technical Support
The University Student Commons has on staff a team of Student Audio Visual Technicitions who provide support for all events in the Student Commons, Larrick Student Center, the Hunton Student Center and the outdoor spaces immediately adjacent to the Student Commons. Most of our rooms are equipped with projectors, screens, and sound systems. We also keep on hand various portable equipment to supplement the inroom systems, these include:>
- Portable TV carts that are Zoom Ready and include a Dell PC
- 4200 Lumen LCD Projectors
- Blu-Ray players
- 20 foot blowup screens for evening outdoor events
- Theatrical Lighting with Student Lighting Techs, Commonwealth Ballroom Only
- Portabal soundsystems for DJs or Bands
- Wired and Wireless Microphones
Should your event be too big for the equipment we have on hand, we have relationships with varoius local vendors in Richmond we can call on for additional support. Events with performances including DJs must meet with the Techniocal Serives Manager and your respective Event Coordnatior.
